The HelpLine offers community based referrals including crisis hotlines, mental health and Veteran Medical Centers, and other resources in Florida.

Self-help and professional treatment programs comprise the primary referrals furnished to HelpLine callers, outside of financial and legal assistance. Currently, there are many communities throughout the State of Florida without self-help or gambling specific treatment alternatives. For this reason, the FCCG identifies county mental health programs and other professional organizations that provide crisis and additional support services, and refer HelpLine callers to these entities in special circumstances (e.g. domestic violence, legal or impaired professional concerns) and on an as needed basis.

Since HelpLine callers frequently make contact regarding loved ones in other states, the FCCG also provides an updated list of affiliate councils, as well as self-help and other resource referrals, but on a more limited basis.
