Gambling Connection (Gambling, Alcohol and Drugs)

Post by Administrator » Wed May 14, 2008 6:14 pm

The Hidden Addiction

Gambling can become addictive, just like alcohol and drugs. However, compulsive gambling is often termed the “hidden addiction” because there are no visible or physical symptoms. People with gambling problems often appear "normal" to others and are generally more functional at work.

Being Honest With Self

It’s important to be honest with yourself as to how gambling is impacting on your personal life. Only you can know for sure whether gambling is interfering at work, home or elsewhere. If you find yourself spending too much time gambling or thinking about gambling then it may be time to take an honest look at yourself and ask for help.
