The $2 million annual contribution paid to the dedicated Trust Fund for Florida’s Compulsive Gambling Prevention Program is swept each year by a minimum of $750,000, more than one/third of what is paid for this purpose. FACT To-date, Florida’s Compulsive Gambling Prevention Program has never been fully funded since its inception, and has also never received more than an annual funding appropriation of $1.25 million out of the $2 million that is paid, and sometimes has received far less than even that.
