This past weekend we had the opportunity to participate in the Sexual Assault Awareness Family Fun Festival at Amelia Earhardt Park in Hialeah. On hand for the over 500 festival goers there were food, drinks, music, activities for the kids and prizes were raffled.
It was a unique opportunity for us at the Coalition to provide individuals with important information about the link between Problem Gambling and Domestic Violence in the family. We also had other giveaways on hand and specific information for law enforcement who was in attendance.
I feel we made positive connections to make sure more resources can be spread out into this sector of the community.
