Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the most common approach to working with problem gambling, yet CBT approaches among clinicians varies greatly. Although challenging irrational thinking patterns and homework exercises associated with cognitive restructuring are important aspects of CBT, there are a wide array of CBT interventions than can be used in working with problem gambling. In this webinar, Dr. Grant will discuss some of the empirically supported CBT approaches to working with problem gambling and introduce participants to some of his own work using scripting in treatment.
