The FCCG issues four different newsletters: FOCUS (general public), Senior FOCUS (older adults and elder professionals), Gaming FOCUS (for gaming industry operators and employees) and Community Educator FOCUS, an online publication for Community Educators.
The FCCG's FOCUS newsletter, which is packed with important research, program and related information, originally started as a primary publication for professionals and other service providers furnishing assistance to problem gamblers and those they adversely affect. More recent issues are prepared to address a broader base of consumers, service recipients, as well as professionals and the general public.
The Agency newsletter, Senior FOCUS, is geared specifically both for older adults and those who work with this population. The Senior FOCUS publication is produced in English and Spanish.
The organization's newsletter for the gaming industry communicates essential information on problem and compulsive gambling, and highlights responsible gaming programs and practices. Gaming FOCUS is a publication provided to industry members for distribution to facility employees.
Finally, the Community Educator FOCUS, available here and on the FCCG's online Forum, furnishes important updates on research, articles and agency programs and services for use in public awareness efforts.
Newsletters are free to residents and organizations in Florida and may be obtained by calling the FCCG HelpLine at
