Fla. tribe gives $1.75M to addictive gambling org.
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.
The Florida Seminole tribe is anteing up $1.75 million to fight compulsive gambling.
Gov. Charlie Crist joined tribal officials Wednesday for a check presentation to the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling in Altamonte Springs.
The Seminole contribution nearly doubles the council's funding this year. It's also receiving $1.1 million from the Florida Lottery and $750,000 through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. |
