I agree that telling your family is hard. It was very hard for me too. It was hard for me because I was afraid that they would be mad, disappointed, worried, scarred, etc. And the truth is that they were all those things, and they had the right to be. However, they were also happy that I was honest and recognized that that was the only way I would be able to get help anyways. They were eager to see that I was finally willing to get help for the problem that, even though I never told them, even though I thought I hid it so well, they knew about the whole time. They didn't know specifics, but they knew something was up. It was my family. All I know is that untill I was willing to do something different, nothing changed
