gambling and the schools

Post by BBRPC » Tue Jun 01, 2010 10:22 am

Since we work in various schools within the Big Bend area, I notice some schools do not allow certain game activities within their campus. For example, some schools will not admit board games with dice or with cards. This is so because the schools do not want students to play these types of games because some use money and bet. Although students do not understand why, it is our job to inform them that these types of games are forms of gambling. Students tend to think that gambling only occurs in casinos; therefore, it is our job to inform them on what gambling really is. I would also like to add that I think it's great that the schools are trying their best to stop gambling activities within their campuses.
